What Is a Product Template?

A Product Template is a reusable setup that defines the core structure of your products — including the product type, available sizes, colors, and variant names. Instead of recreating the same setup every time you list a new design, you can use a template to apply that setup instantly.

Why Use a Product Template?

Product Templates are ideal when:

• You’re selling the same product types repeatedly (e.g., the same shirt in different designs)
• Your sizes and colors remain consistent across listings
• You want to avoid setting up variants from scratch each time

Templates allow you to stay consistent, reduce setup time, and minimize syncing errors.

How to Create a Product Template in Printmood

1. Log in to your Printmood Seller Dashboard
2. Go to the Product Template tab in the sidebar
3. Click Create Product Template
4. Enter a name for your template (e.g., “Unisex & Youth Tee Setup”)
5. Select your base products, such as:
   • Unisex T-Shirt | BELLA + CANVAS - 3001/CVC
   • Youth Premium Softstyle Tee
6. Choose your sizes and colors
   If a specific color isn’t available (e.g., plain “Green”), choose the closest match like Kelly Green
7. Add your store’s variant names exactly as they appear in your platform (e.g., Unisex/S, Youth Tee/M, etc.)
   Capitalization and spacing don’t need to match exactly but keeping them clean and consistent is recommended
8. Click Save Template

Using the Template to Enable Fulfillment

1. Navigate to the Stores tab and select View Store
2. Click the Products tab
3. If it’s your first time syncing, choose Sync All Products (needed only once)
4. Click Details on a product you want to set up
5. Click Enable Fulfillment and select your template
6. Manually match any unmatched variants (e.g., Kelly Green if it didn’t auto-match)
7. Click Continue

Applying Your Design

1. Open the Design Tool
2. Select a design from your gallery or upload a new one
3. Place and adjust the design on your product
4. Click Save

You’ll then see a preview and have the option to toggle Auto Payment on or off. Once you’re satisfied, save the setup and repeat the process for other products.

Color names in Printmood are based on what garment manufacturers provide. If you don’t see an exact match like “Green,” choose the closest available, such as Kelly Green. For best results, match your store’s color names to Printmood’s options.

Yes! Product Templates work across all platforms integrated with Printmood, including Etsy, Amazon, Shopify, and TikTok Shop. Just ensure the product structure (sizes and colors) matches.

7. How many Product Templates can I create?

There’s no limit. You can create as many templates as needed to match different product types or configurations in your store.

8. Can I edit a Product Template after it’s saved?

Currently, templates cannot be edited once created. If you need to change sizes, colors, or variant names, you should create a new template.

9. Will syncing take a long time if I have a large store?

Syncing time depends on how many products and variants you have. Platforms like Shopify may take up to an hour to sync 1,000+ variants. Be patient during the first sync — it's only needed once.

10. Do I need to use a template for every product?

No. You can also sync products manually or use the "sync after order" method, but templates are highly recommended for speed and consistency when selling the same product types.
