Embroidery Thread Colors & Design Guidelines

At Printmood, we support a wide range of thread colors for embroidery. Below you’ll find the standard thread options, optional extra colors (with small fees), and design limitations you should know before placing an order.

Main Thread Colors

These are included at no additional cost. You can use up to 15 colors per design.

Extra Thread Colors (+$0.50 per color used)

If your design uses any of these additional colors, a fee of $0.50 per color will be added.

Here’s how each thread color appears when actually embroidered onto fabric:

Digitizing Fees

• Front or Back Design: $10 per design
• Pocket, Sleeve, or Inside Neck Design: $5 per design
• Reorders: No digitizing fee if the same design is reused

Design Limits

• Maximum of 15 thread colors per design
• Digitizing is required before production for any new artwork
• Thread codes are used internally to match your design exactly
